TrainingSpaces is offering something new!

Thanks to trainers Joao Domingues and Kelly Enston, we’re now featuring specialized classes in weightlifting for women, flexibility, and — wait for it — belly dancing. If you’ve struggled with the basics, or want to take your game to the next level, or even if you’re just curious, TrainingSpaces has you covered. We’ll be updating this page, as well as our blog, as more classes become available.

Are you finding regular activities more difficult to perform than they used to be?

Do you feel a decreased range of motion in ordinary movements?

Are you experiencing more back pain or knee pain than normal?

Would you like to be more active but feel like you just can’t?

If you answered yes to the any of the above, you are in the right place! My name is Kelly and I am a Certified and insured Personal Trainer and Flexibility Trainer with a background in Registered Nursing. It is my pleasure to offer you a new program of flexibility classes called FLEX4LIFE.

The FLEX4LIFE program lasts 8 weeks, 1 hour per week, and accommodates all types of individuals regardless of their current flexibility.  In your first class, we will assess your baseline mobility. From there we work in a systematic fashion to help you regain full body mobility to the greatest extent possible. I will be with you every step of the way as you see and feel your progress.

Each class will comprise individual work with me as well as working with a partner.  Breathing methods are taught and discussed and you will also learn how to determine the difference between “good pain” and “bad pain” as it relates to muscle and joint soreness.

This class is limited to 6-8 people, so get your name on the list soon! Expect this class to start the last week of June or first week of July, possibly sooner depending on how quickly the 6-8 spots fill up.

Attention Ladies! 

If you haven’t been active for a while, the prospect of surrounding yourself with a bunch of fit, young gym bunnies while you labour amongst the different machines may be a little off-putting.  Perhaps you’ve been considering at-home training instead, but making sure your home is “guest ready” before every session is just one more hassle you don’t need. The solution? Bellydance! 

Bellydance is a fantastic way to begin a healthier, active lifestyle.  Done properly, Bellydance provides a surprisingly aerobic workout combined with an abundance of core strengthening exercises and movements that will not only leave you sweating but smiling! That’s right ladies, getting in shape can actually be fun!

My name is Kelly and I am a professional bellydance instructor (stage name: Caliana) as well as a certified & insured personal trainer and registered nurse (RN). In addition to Bellydance instruction, I provide personal training, mobility assessments and nutrition counselling. My summer bellydance programs are geared for women who want to become more active but aren’t quite ready to commit to a full-blown training program.

That is why I have come up with the following offers:

All classes will take place at TrainingSpaces.  

My recommendation for beginners is start with the bellydance and stretching classes and then progress into the personal training and fitness programs. That’s what I did! In fact, I enjoyed it so much I ultimately quit nursing to become a full-time personal trainer and dance instructor!  (and lost 30 lbs in the process 🙂

Women and Weights

Joao’s Women and Weights class promises to be a high-powered workout. As he describes it: “Each class will feature a combination of circuit and high intensity interval (HIIT) training that will burn fat and leave you pumped!”

The class is fully booked for June, but Jon will be offering it again in July. Register early!
